Hot Rolling: Similar to other steel pipes, stainless steel pipes can be produced by hot rolling. The stainless steel billet is heated to a high temperature and then passed through a series of rolling mills to form the desired pipe shape and size. This process is suitable for producing large diameter and thick walled stainless steel pipes.
Cold Drawing/Cold Rolling: Cold processing methods are often used to improve the surface quality and dimensional accuracy of stainless steel pipes. Cold drawing involves pulling the hot rolled pipe through a die to reduce its diameter and increase its wall thickness accuracy. Cold rolling uses a rolling process to achieve more refined control of dimensions and a smoother surface finish, which is suitable for producing high precision stainless steel pipes.
Excellent Corrosion Resistance: The most prominent feature of stainless steel pipes is their outstanding corrosion resistance. This is due to the presence of chromium and other alloying elements in the stainless steel, which form a dense and stable oxide film on the surface of the pipe, preventing the intrusion of corrosive substances such as water, air, and chemicals.
High Temperature Resistance: Stainless steel pipes can withstand high temperatures without significant deformation or loss of mechanical properties. Some stainless steel materials can operate stably at temperatures up to several hundred degrees Celsius, making them suitable for high-temperature applications.
Building and Construction: In building facades, handrails, and decorative structures, stainless steel pipes are used for their aesthetic appearance and corrosion resistance. They are also used in building water supply and drainage systems, heating systems, and gas supply systems.
