Rubber gaskets are important sealing components in pipeline systems. They can prevent fluid leakage and ensure the safe and stable operation of pipeline systems.

Types of Materials

Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM): EPDM rubber is known for its excellent heat and ozone resistance. It can withstand animal and vegetable oils, as well as strong oxidizing chemicals, making it suitable for pipeline systems that operate under complex temperature and chemical conditions.

Natural Rubber (NR): Natural rubber exhibits outstanding dynamic sealing performance along with strong tear and wear resistance. It can tolerate most medium-strength chemicals and organic acids, making it ideal for dynamic pipeline connections that require high sealing performance.

Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR): NBR has good resistance to petroleum-based fluids, such as gasoline, and is also effective against fats, oils, greases, and hydraulic oils. This material is commonly used in pipeline systems within the petrochemical industry and fuel transportation sectors.

Product Types

O-Type Rubber Gaskets: These gaskets feature a circular cross-section and a simple structure, providing high sealing performance. They are standardized for easy installation and replacement, making them suitable for sealing in fixed, reciprocating, and rotating motions.

Flange Rubber Gaskets: Designed for sealing at the flange connections of pipelines, these gaskets come in various sizes and materials according to different flange standards and working conditions, capable of withstanding specific pressure and temperature requirements.

Rubber Sealing Ring Gaskets: Used primarily for sealing concrete pipeline joints, these gaskets accommodate different joint configurations and comply with relevant ASTM standards.

Features and Advantages

Excellent Sealing Performance: Rubber gaskets effectively prevent liquid and gas leaks in pipelines, maintaining a strong seal even in low-temperature, low-pressure, and mild chemical environments, which ensures the reliable operation of pipeline systems.

Outstanding Flexibility: With good elasticity, these gaskets can adapt to slight deformations caused by temperature changes, vibrations, and other factors. This quality helps prevent breakage and ensures the durability of the seal.

Easy Installation: Many rubber gaskets come with an adhesive backing for direct application. Even those without adhesive are easy to install, requiring no complex tools or specialized techniques.

Application Fields

Chemical Industry: Rubber gaskets are utilized in pipelines that transport various chemical media. Their chemical corrosion resistance ensures leak-free operation, contributing to production safety.

Oil and Natural Gas Industry: In pipeline systems involved in oil extraction, transportation, and processing, rubber gaskets resist the corrosive effects of oils and other chemicals, maintaining the integrity of the pipelines.

Water Supply and Drainage: Whether for urban water supply or sewage discharge, rubber gaskets provide effective sealing, preventing water leakage and ensuring the normal function of water supply and drainage systems.

Food and Beverage Industry: Gaskets that meet food hygiene standards are used in transportation pipelines for food and beverages, ensuring that products are not contaminated and maintaining food safety.
