Material: PE pipes are made of polyethylene resin, which is polymerized from ethylene monomers. Depending on the pressure, temperature, and other conditions during polymerization, polyethylene with different densities can be obtained, such as high-density polyethylene (HDPE), medium-density polyethylene (MDPE), and low-density polyethylene (LDPE).
Grade Classification: Internationally, polyethylene pipe materials are divided into five grades: PE32, PE40, PE63, PE80, and PE100. The materials used for gas pipes and water supply pipes are mainly PE80 and PE100.
Excellent Corrosion Resistance: It can resist the erosion of various chemical media except for a few strong oxidants, and there is no electrochemical corrosion. No anti-corrosion layer is needed, and it can resist the degradation of chemicals in the soil.
Low Water Flow Resistance: The inner wall is smooth with a Manning coefficient of 0.009. The non-adhesive property enables PE pipes to have higher conveying capacity than traditional pipes, which can reduce pipeline pressure loss and water transmission energy consumption.
Good Flexibility: It has high flexibility with an elongation at break generally exceeding 500%, which can adapt to unstable ground or seabed laying. It can also be used for trenchless pipe laying, lining pipes for old pipeline repair, and can be laid in narrow pipe trenches after being welded on the ground.
Good Low-Temperature Performance: The embrittlement temperature is lower than -75℃, and it still has good toughness in low-temperature environments, meeting the requirements of various possible situations such as installation and maintenance. During winter construction, the pipe will not be brittle and cracked.
Water Supply Field: Suitable for municipal water supply systems, building water supply systems, buried water supply systems in residential quarters and factories, etc., which can provide safe and reliable drinking water transmission for cities and rural areas.
Drainage and Sewage Discharge: Can be used for industrial wastewater and sewage discharge pipelines. Its corrosion resistance can prolong the service life of the pipeline and reduce maintenance costs.
Electric Power and Communication: Can be used as a protective casing for postal and telecommunications lines and power wires to protect the cables from external factors.
Electro-Fusion Welding: Special electro-fusion welding machines are utilized to connect straight pipes to other straight pipes, as well as straight pipes to pipe fittings. This method is typically used for pipes with a diameter of less than 160mm.
Hot-Melt Butt Connection: Dedicated butt welding machines are employed to join pipes. This technique is generally used for pipes that have a diameter of 160mm or greater.
Steel-Plastic Connection: Connections can be made using flanges, threaded joints, and other methods. This approach is used for joining polyethylene (PE) pipes with steel pipes or other types of metal pipes.
