Dismantling Joint

Dismantling Joints are designed to provide a simple method of installation and removal of flanged pipeline components such as valves, pumps and strainers from a pipeline. Dismantling Joints allow a variable setting distance of 50mm on site and are supplied complete, ready to be installed. Dismantling Joints are restrained products that prevent axial pipe movement, they are most suited to valve and pump chambers, and complex steel fitting installations.

Structure

It typically comprises a body, sealing ring, gland, and short telescopic pipe. One side has a flange adapter for connection to pumps or valves via flanges. The detachable end features an f - piece or central flange, which is pushed into the flange adapter, with tie bars securing the flanges.

Features

Installation and Disassembly: It can be pre-adjusted to the right length, simplifying the installation and removal of pipeline components. This is highly beneficial during maintenance and repair.

Sealing: The elastic sealing ring, when the gland nut is tightened, presses firmly against the pipe's outer ring due to the mutual slope, ensuring a reliable seal.

Force Transmission: Once all nuts are tightened, it can transfer axial thrust to the pipeline, safeguarding valves and pumps.

Corrosion Resistance: Depending on the environment, it can be coated with anti-corrosion materials like FBE, epoxy, or epoxy glass flake coatings.

Applications

Maintenance: Ideal for situations where pipeline components such as valves, water meters, or flow meters need repair or replacement. Dismantling joints create a gap between flanges, enabling easy removal and installation.

Equipment Installation: Facilitates the setup of pumps and valves. It can adjust the position and length, ensuring smooth equipment operation.
