Working Principle:


The opening and closing component of a gate valve is the gate, which moves perpendicular to the direction of fluid flow. Gate valves can only be fully open or fully closed, and cannot be used for regulation or throttling.


Performance Characteristics:


Strong Corrosion Resistance: F4 material exhibits excellent chemical stability and can withstand various corrosive media, including strong acids, strong alkalis, and strong oxidants.


Low Fluid Resistance: When fully open, the gate valve has a straight flow channel, resulting in minimal pressure loss during medium flow. The direction of the medium is not restricted, with no turbulence or pressure reduction.


Good Sealing Performance: It can achieve self-sealing through medium pressure or forced sealing with external force. Some products also adopt surfacing valve seats or elastic sealing designs to ensure sealing reliability under harsh working conditions.


Labor-Saving Operation: Compared with some other types of valves, the opening and closing process is relatively labor-saving. It can be equipped with various driving methods such as manual, electric, and pneumatic, making operation convenient.


Classification:


According to the configuration of the sealing surface, it can be divided into wedge gate valves and parallel gate valves. Wedge gate valves can be further subdivided into single-gate, double-gate, and elastic gate types; parallel gate valves can be divided into single-gate and double-gate types. According to the position of the valve stem thread, it can be divided into rising stem gate valves and non-rising stem gate valves.
