Coatings and Linings: Tailored to Your Needs

Inner Linings

Cement Mortar Lining: This is one of the most common inner linings for T-Type Ductile Iron Pipes. It provides excellent protection against corrosion by forming a physical barrier between the pipe wall and the water or other fluids. The smooth surface of the cement mortar lining also helps to reduce friction, improving the flow characteristics of the fluid.

Epoxy Coating: Epoxy coatings offer high chemical resistance and a smooth, durable finish. They are particularly suitable for applications where the transported fluid may contain aggressive chemicals or where a high level of hygiene is required, such as in potable water systems.

Polyurethane Lining: Polyurethane linings are known for their flexibility, abrasion resistance, and excellent chemical resistance. They are ideal for applications where the pipe may be subject to mechanical stress or where the transported fluid contains abrasive particles.

Outer Coatings

Bituminous Paint: Bituminous paint is a cost-effective and widely used outer coating for T-Type Ductile Iron Pipes. It provides good protection against soil corrosion and moisture. The paint forms a waterproof barrier that prevents the penetration of corrosive substances into the pipe wall.

Epoxy Paint: Epoxy paints offer superior corrosion resistance and durability compared to bituminous paints. They are available in different formulations, including solvent-based and water-based, to meet various environmental and application requirements.

Zinc-Aluminum Alloy Coating: Zinc-aluminum alloy coatings provide excellent corrosion protection through a combination of sacrificial protection and barrier protection. The zinc in the coating sacrificially corrodes to protect the underlying iron, while the aluminum helps to form a dense oxide layer that further enhances the corrosion resistance.
